More vodka than juice.
I’ve been hard at work on a 20pg paper all day…I deserve this.
This is what I did when I went to Australia. These are the major cities. In each place, I took tours that would go outside the city.
1. Brisbane (Flew into)
2. Cairns
3. Canberra
4. Melbourne (Various trips to Melbourne from Canberra)
5. Adelaide
6. Took the train to Alice Springs
7. Broome
8. Perth
9. Melbourne
10. Canberra
Then back down to Melbourne for a night to catch my flight back to the USA
I’m so threatening.

I’ve got an idea up my sleeve so I need you all to tell me your favorite photos from Australia that are Unique, Different and Unlike Any Other Aussie Photos Out There. If the photos are still cool but show you a different side to Australia or a different view of a commonly photographed place, or just a cool never-before-seen-ish shot, it’ll help my chances. The easiest way is to probably go to my Aussie Flickr sets and tell me the names. Then I can look them up and mark them down.

I was willing,
I was eager.
To put an end to it all.
To end the pain from searing my veins,
From spilling my blood,
An end to myself and this disease.
But…
She seized my wrist.
She seized my wrist and tore me from the edge,
From where I stood, peering into the pitch-black Heaven,
Of my escape,
Into arms that knew this pain.
Into an embrace that understood.
And she didn’t let go.
How do I know her?
I was about to give up.
I was about to let go and fade away.
I was unaware on the edge of the pier,
When she threw me into the ice cold waters.
The bitterness stung my skin,
And I couldn’t breathe.
Fully submerged in pins and needles.
But I was revitalized.
Re-energized,
And captivated.
She uprooted my life,
And suddenly the sun was out.
I could feel the winter winds,
I could breathe the winter air,
I could hear the words she spoke.
And now look at what I have.
We’re alike,
Because we know what
True,
Abandonment feels like.
When a tradition becomes a memory.
Fading as fast as when you take off your winter glove,
And a snowflake melts into a droplet in the palm of your hand.
Getting a surprise hug from Dork.
